Enjoy Incredible Views, Perfect Routes… Then Relax in Style.

Enjoy some of the most scenic and breathtaking routes that Costa Blanca has to offer in one of the best ways possible; on two wheels, with the sun on your back and in great company. It’s the cycling holiday of a lifetime.

Take in incredible views as you ride through a country rich in culture. Journey with one of our expert guides on a day mixed with the perfect blend of riding and relaxation. At the end of the day, a premium villa is a perfect retreat after a day in the saddle; allowing you to unwind, relax and enjoy home cooked food using locally sourced ingredients and wines.

When you’re not riding; enjoy other activities on Spain’s East Coast. We can organise trips such as a visit to the ocean for a refreshing dip and drink, wine tasting for a welcomed change, or a relaxing massage to ease your aching legs.

At Cycle Retreats, we provide a relaxed atmosphere and a love of cycling to provide the ideal getaway for the cyclists who like to do it in style.

Scenic views, exhilarating experiences.

Due to our knowledge of the area and our proficiency in bike tours, we’ll plan every detail of each day to guarantee you get the most out of your time with us. We mix up the action by taking breaks from the cycling to accommodate for some of the unmissable experiences provided by the locals.

Cycle Retreats

I love this, Brian is branded with in an inch of his life and a very important part of the Cycle Retreats family. Thanks to all of you who turned out for the Sportive and continue to support Cycle Retreats each season.A challenging day made tougher than normal by virtue of the swirling wind, rain and drizzle at the start. A terrible nights experience the night before with no sleep courtesy of some very loud, drunk and argumentative wedding guests shouting and swearing etc all night with each other outside our room ! Rain was oozing out of my shoes and bibshorts after just riding to the start when I saw people that I had shared glorious Spanish sunshine rides with hunkering in the school hall looking up at the gloomy skies.
Tough day in prospect.
I accepted this challenge to support a dear friend Chris Ringrose who had broken various bits of himself and Bike after coming off on a wet cattlegrid some months ago in and around Grasmere . Each day since I had read various posts about his rehabilitation , strength and conditioning work, static bike work and first few walks on crutches , stick and then bike rides.
I only saw him at the beginning of various climbs in Spain and after reading the posts of his rapid return to fitness thought I am going to be hugging the wheel again and trying to hold the elastic lead then waving him on at the various climbs Mark had planned for us all.
Sure enough Chris was in excellent shape and we rode well together and he was very gracious and true to his word and waited at the top for me ! He took lots of pics! Despite a puncture and two very welcome gorgeous cheery feed stops Chris was never in any distress and we made good progress over the day .
The route was an excellent test for all of us despite being shrouded in drizzle .For me it was the first time I had ridden the long Brickyard climb, Cat and Fiddle and that one or was it two steep ramps ! One was 20% into the weather and I never got off!
The race for home seemed not quite as flat as Zoe Lancaster had told Chris beforehand who charged his way back with me hanging on and even sometimes taking the front! Not for long though as Chris wanted his ice cream n cakes! I love these flat rides he says to which I stare down at the stem and mutter!
It was an epic day for me in lots of ways .It was fabulous to see people like Tracy McDonald and put faces to names Karen! Lovely to meet new friendly people and share stories afterwards.Wonderful to ride and conquer new routes and climbs.Great to test myself and despite the weather grab some Strava achievements. Love it!
I left the finish sundries and ready to cycle back to the hotel another 4/5 miles and luckily met and chatted to Mark Lancaster en route who has been a supportive friend since I first went to Cycle Retreats two years ago .
Arrived at hotel to friendly staff who exclaimed Wow...... " We saw you go out in that weather !" Had the longest deepest bath ever . Slept for 90 mins solid. Had our evening meal and slept for ten hours!
Living the dream!
Thanks again to all the support crew, volunteers , riders stall holders and to Folks met en route . Much appreciated.
A day that stays with you .
